What are the Things you need to make sure for online Therapy?
1. Test your technology before the session, and also make sure to have a good internet connection so that it is accessible to your private space which is convenient for you.
2. Find a comfortable private space, and ensure that the place is devoid of any distractions.
3. Come prepared with the question, query and topics to be discussed with the therapist.
4. While doing live chat therapy and email therapy through text, make sure to use more words to describe your emotions and emotional states.
5. Before the session, check that your headphones, mic and webcam are working properly so that there won't be any disruption during the therapy session.
6. Before starting the session, close all other unwanted tabs running in the background, so that there won't be any distraction and also sometimes it may slow your system and thereby hinder your communication with the therapist.
7. Online therapy needs good lighting in your side, so that the therapist can see and gauge your emotions more efficiently. so before starting the session make sure to select a space which have sufficient lighting.
8. Before starting your online therapy session, ensure that you are away from noise and distractions. so it is preferable if you could keep a "do not disturb" board or just turn your phone to 'do not disturb' mode and disable any notification which might distract you.
9. It is always better if you could use a earphone during the session, so that you will be more tuned into the session and will not be easily distracted.
